Pending Issues
- The magnet seems not to work reliably with the lambda stage
(2 quenches during an expt. in Decemper 2006. A user claimed
that the switch heater power is too low when using the lambda
stage. We did a test in February 2007, with the following results:
No quench up to 9 Tesla. With the coil at 4 K the switch heater power
needed is about 0.8 W. The maximum switch heater power is 1.4 W.
- The magnet has a cold leak, occuring only occasionaly at low temperatures.
As a workaround the main vacuum has to be pumped constantly. (Oct 2006)
Solved issues
- There seem to be a problem with the He level gauge. As a workaround, an
additional gauge is placed in the He filling port. (2005-10-19)
Solved in winter 2006.
