where
d: sample space diameter (reduce by 2-4 mm for max. sample diameter)
a: distance from thread to beam center
b: allowed size below beam center
l: length from top flange to the center of the sample (when used with a rotation unit, add 160)
g: diameter of upper part of sample stick space
h: length of upper (larger) part of sample stick space (+2mm when warm)
*: MA6 with rotation, measured on TriCS (geometrical: 1464)

[3] as we have adapter pieces, it is recommended to make the sample holder with a distance from thread to the sample center between 37 and 50 mm
[4] for a short time 300 K is possible, but not recommended due to very high liquid He consumption

Stray fields

The stray fields can be calculated from the 200 gauss line distance. For vertical magnets, this is the vertical distance. At the same distance in horizontal direction, the stray field is 100 gauss (0.01 Tesla). The stray field folows a r^-3 rule, what means that at half the distance you have a 8 times higher field.
