A collaboration with financial contributions from the Universities of
Birmingham, U.K., Zürich and Warwick, U.K., together with PSI and the
U.K. EPSRC, have taken delivery of the high horizontal-field cryomagnet MA11,
specially designed for neutron scattering, particularly SANS.
The magnet has 4 windows, two for fields
parallel to the beam and two for for fields perpendicular to the beam.
MA11 can be used on SANS-I, SANS-II and AMOR. However, the maximum
field can only be achieved on SANS-I.
