This is version 3.
It is not the current version, and thus it cannot be edited. Tantalum FurnaceThe tantalum furnace has a heater tube made from tantalum foil, and two radiation shields within the vacuum chamber. It is water cooled.
Current Issues
The material of the heater element and the radiation shield will be exchanged
by niobium. The reason is, that niobium seems to have some better properties,
and that the furnace FI uses also noibium and therefore the purchase of
materials will be easier.
