Preparing the Kelvinox Dilution and Gas Handling System
- pump the traps (heat out each for 30 min, but pump longer.
- pump out the condenser and pumping line, on the gas handling
system and on the stick (all voulmes might be connected)
After some hours (or one night)
- make the seal with clean fingers (a thick layer on the stick
only a small amount onside the aluminium tube.
- put the tube, turning it a little on the seal and start pumping
with the leak detector.
- leak check
- put into LN2 for precooling, put a small amount of He (1 mbar or
less) into the IVC.
- if there is no hurry, the stick might be put directly into
the cryostat.
...
Warming up
- before removing from the cryostat, it might be a good idea to have
some underpressure in the IVC.
