This is really an old magnet and has to be replaced. It is easy to use, with a small enough sample (<25 mm diameter) at a temperature of 4.2 K. Everthing else is a pain!. With higher temperatures the thermal gradient is huge (can be improved when pumping the intermediate space). Lower temperatures are possible, but with a high LHe cosumption.
