Instrument | field direction parallel to beam | field direction perpendicular to beam | Conditions |
SANS-I | 11 Tesla | 11 Tesla | |
SANS-II | 6 Tesla | 5 Tesla | |
AMOR | 2 Tesla | | |
RITA-II | 11 Tesla | 11 Tesla | 45 deg < a2 < 100 deg, d = 450 mm (1) |
(*) to be reevaluated, ask Markus Zolliker
Remarks for SANS-II
Force measurements (29.5.08):
- 8 kg at 4 Tesla perpendicular
- 8 kg at 5 Tesla parallel
It seems that most of the force is induced by a steel ring on the valve before the detector tank.
Remarks for RITA-II
Monochromator sample distance at least 450 mm
How the distance has to be measured.
In this example the distance is around 400 mm.
