Setup for temperature control below 1.5 K
- connect the analog output from the AVS with
the LakeShore 340
- on the AVS, choose all settings marked with
a red dot
- if the temperature is not shown, there might be a electronic
ground problem. Try to connect the LakeShores power cable to a
different phase. Warning: on channel C (sample), temperatures
beyond 20 K are not precise and are very noisy.
- on the IDR set the mixing chamber power to zero,
switch the mixing chamber heater on and put
the heater power range to 20mW
- connect the heater cable from the IDR to the
LakeShore 340 "Analog Out2" (coaxial cable)
- in tecs choose device vardil
- set the temperature via tecs or SICS
Setup for temperatures beyond 1.5 K
- put a litte bit of exchange gas (1 mbar or less) into the IVC
- in tecs choose device variox/dil
