The ESRF has been developing for several years both hardware and software tools for ABA (Automatic Beamline Alignment). This presentation will summarize the current status of the ABA software developments at the ESRF. A short introduction to the ABA algorithms will be given followed by an overview of the ABA tools for the completely automatic alignment of a novel protein crystallography beamline (ID23) and for the automatic optimization of KB mirrors on microfocusing beamlines. All tools developed are available in the framework of international collaborations, e.g. through SPINE or BioXHIT.
