T. Lam, A. Götz, F. Franceschini, N. Hauser

GumTree is a highly integrated multi-platform GUI for performing neutron scattering experiment. This open source project is built upon the foundation of Eclipse Rich Client Platform, using Java programming language. GumTree Project at ANSTO consists of a general application framework (GumTree Platform) and a set of specific components for Replacement Research Reactor (RRR) Neutron Beam Instrument Project (NBIP). GumTree Platform provides essential GUI components for common beamline operation via API and Eclipse's extension mechanism. The goal of GumTree is to be adaptable for various instrument control server systems, providing easy-to-use front-end for users and simply-to-extend model for software developers.
