The GDA software is the result of a collaborative project between CCLRC Daresbury and Diamond Light Source. The software uses a client server architecture with Java as the fundamental technology. It is intended to be a toolkit able to be adapted to control the operation any beamline at either facility and so it must be highly flexible and configurable. The current software will be demonstrated with emphasis on the flexible configuration of the software and the embedded scripting functionality within the GUI interface.
