The fifth NOBUGS conference was held in October, 18-20, 2004 at the Paul Scherrer Institute, Villigen PSI.

This collaboration should yield better data acquisition and data analysis software for the users of such facilities. This in turn will increase user productivity and thus maximise the scientific result to be obtained from the large investment required to build and maintain X-ray or Neutron facilities.
NOBUGS 2004 feautures oral and poster presentations of the latest developments in data acquisition, data analysis, user interface design and general computer science as is relevant to users and programmers working at scientific facilities.
