International Workshop on Applications of Advanced Monte Carlo Simulations in Neutron Scattering

Scope of Workshop
The GOALS of the workshop are:
- to demonstrate the potential of MC simulations for: instrument optimization/development,
experiment planning,
MC numerical data analysis,
- exchange information/experience between users and developers
- get feed-back and requests from users from around the world
- attract new users
- learn from outstanding MC-developers who are no neutron scatterer (e.g.MCNPX, Geant4 and Tripoli developers/users)
The TOPICS are:
- MC simulation highlights
- validation and bench-marks by inter-comparisons and experimental calibration
- introduction into neutron scattering MC packages McStas, VITESS, Restax and NISP
- application examples of simulations with each MC package
